Videos can be a wonderful way to learn, but small screens, fast talkers and quiet audio get in the way. These tips work on most computers, tablets and phones.
Turn on captions.
Look for the "CC" button under the video. Captions help in noisy rooms, with soft speakers, and when names or numbers go by quickly.
Slow it down.
Open the settings (the gear icon) and choose a playback speed like 0.75. The voice stays natural, just a little slower.
Go full screen.
Click the square-corners icon or double-click the video for a larger picture. Press Esc to return.
Pause and rewind freely.
Press the spacebar to pause, and the left arrow key to go back a few seconds.
Read along with the transcript.
Every video on Silver Streak includes a transcript or captions, so you can read at your own pace or print the key points.
Use our Comfort Tools.
The Comfort Tools button at the top of the page lets you make text larger and turn on EasyScroll, so the rest of the article stays comfortable to read.
