Review Policy
Silver Streak Senior Services LLC
Effective October 2025 (update on republish) · Last updated August 2, 2026
At Silver Streak Senior Services, we believe that honest experiences build trustworthy connections. Reviews empower seniors, caregivers, and families to make confident decisions about verified service providers.
We uphold transparency and fairness in accordance with Texas law, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, and the federal Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA), ensuring that every review reflects integrity, respect, and truth.
No gag clauses, ever. We do not restrict or punish honest reviews, and we won't use contracts to silence lawful feedback.
1. Purpose and Principles
This policy outlines the process for submitting, reviewing, and displaying reviews on the Silver Streak Senior Services platform.
Our principles are simple:
- Honesty builds trust.
- Respect sustains community.
- Transparency protects everyone.
We follow Texas laws protecting consumer expression and prohibit any form of “gag clause” or retaliation against reviewers for sharing truthful feedback.
2. Community Standards
Be Honest
- Write from personal experience — what actually happened.
- Do not submit fake, duplicate, or incentivized reviews. Vendors or their employees may not post undisclosed self-reviews or paid endorsements.
Be Respectful
- Keep comments factual and constructive.
- No threats, harassment, profanity, or discriminatory language.
- Disagreement is fine; disrespect isn't.
Protect Privacy
- Do not share anyone's personal details (names, addresses, phone numbers, medical or financial information).
- Keep your review general enough to protect privacy.
Keep It Relevant
- Focus on your service experience.
- No unrelated marketing, recruitment, or spam.
Photos & Videos
- Share only media you personally own or have rights to use.
- No misleading edits, explicit, or offensive visuals.
3. Screening and Review Process
Silver Streak reviews each submission before it goes live to ensure it meets our community and legal standards. This is not “moderation” of opinions; it is a content integrity and safety check.
Because every review is screened first, reviews are not posted instantly. There is a short delay between submission and publication while we complete this check.
We screen for:
- Potential defamation (false factual statements presented as truth).
- Hate speech, personal attacks, or doxxing.
- Undisclosed conflicts or fake reviews.
- Irrelevant, off-topic, or spam content.
- Sensitive private data or personally identifiable information (PII).
Minor grammar or formatting edits may be made — never to alter meaning or sentiment.
4. Publication Outcomes
- Approved: Meets standards and goes live as submitted.
- Returned for Clarification: Reviewer may edit if details need verification or redaction.
- Declined or Removed: Violates this policy or applicable law (e.g., false factual claim, hate content, or private information).
When possible, reviewers are notified of removal reasons.
5. Provider Participation & Responses
Vendors and providers are encouraged to engage professionally:
- Right to Reply: Providers may post a respectful public response.
- Prohibited Conduct: No intimidation, retaliation, or attempts to pressure reviewers into altering feedback.
Any retaliation against reviewers may result in suspension or delisting under Texas deceptive practice laws.
Separate from reviews: our right to suspend or remove a provider is not limited to review-related conduct. As set out in our Terms & Conditions and Vendor & Advertiser Participation Agreement, we may suspend, restrict, or remove any provider at any time, for any reason, and effective immediately, including where we determine that continued listing poses a trust or safety risk to our users.
6. Dispute Resolution
When a provider believes a review violates this policy:
- Submit a Dispute Request to info@silverstreakhelp.com. Include the review link, disputed statements, and evidence.
- Internal Review: Silver Streak evaluates the content under this policy and relevant Texas law (including Anti-SLAPP protections).
- Resolution Options: leave the review unchanged; redact or clarify false factual claims; or remove the review if it clearly violates our standards or the law.
Defamation Considerations: We follow a fair notice-and-response approach to encourage correction before escalation.
7. Integrity & Transparency
- Negative reviews are not removed solely for being critical.
- All qualified reviews — positive, neutral, or negative — are displayed fairly.
- Advertising or paid placement does not influence review visibility.
Silver Streak complies with the Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) and does not impose non-disparagement clauses on users.
8. Intellectual Property & License
By posting a review or photo, you grant Silver Streak a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and share that content in connection with our platform. You retain ownership of your original material.
9. Liability Reminder
- Reviews reflect individual opinions, not Silver Streak endorsements.
- Silver Streak verifies vendors at the time of listing, but members should reconfirm credentials before hiring.
- False or deceptive reviews may violate Texas Deceptive Trade Practices law.
10. Reporting a Concern
If you believe a review or response violates this policy:
- Email: info@silverstreakhelp.com
- Mail: Silver Streak Senior Services LLC, 7950 Legacy Dr. Suite 400, Plano, TX 75024
We respond to review-related concerns within 10 business days.
