Silver Streak Senior Services uses artificial intelligence (“AI”) to support, not replace, human care, judgment, or decision-making. Our approach to AI is grounded in safety, dignity, transparency, and respect for older adults and caregivers.

How Silver Streak Uses AI

We currently develop and deploy AI tools for two primary purposes.

1. Companionship & Engagement Support

AI may provide conversational interaction, educational information, non-clinical reminders, and engagement to reduce isolation between human interactions. AI is not a substitute for human relationships, caregivers, or loved ones.

2. Resource Discovery & Navigation

AI may assist users in identifying government programs, discovering nonprofit and community resources, and understanding general categories of assistance. AI helps users find information, not make determinations.

What Our AI Does Not Do

Silver Streak AI does not:

  • Provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
  • Provide legal or financial advice.
  • Make eligibility determinations for benefits.
  • Replace licensed professionals.
  • Pressure users into decisions.
  • Use fear, urgency, or emotional manipulation.

Human Oversight & Safety

  • AI tools operate with human-defined safeguards.
  • Users are encouraged to involve trusted family members, caregivers, or professionals.
  • Silver Streak may suspend or modify AI features if safety concerns arise.

Transparency

  • Users are informed when they are interacting with AI.
  • AI responses are informational only.
  • Final decisions always belong to the user and their trusted advisors.

Privacy & Data Protection

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We minimize data collection.
  • AI systems are governed by strict privacy and ethical standards.
  • Personally identifiable information is not used for training without consent.

Vendor AI Use Rules & Standards

Required for all participating vendors. These rules apply to all vendors, partners, and service providers participating in the Silver Streak ecosystem.

1. Purpose

Silver Streak maintains a trust-first platform serving older adults and caregivers. Any use of AI by vendors must align with safety, transparency, and ethical responsibility.

2. Permitted Vendor AI Uses

Vendors may use AI for:

  • Scheduling and administrative support.
  • Internal efficiency and workflow tools.
  • Customer service assistance (with disclosure).
  • Content drafting with human review.

3. Prohibited Vendor AI Uses

Vendors may not use AI to:

  • Provide medical, legal, or financial advice through the platform.
  • Misrepresent AI outputs as professional judgment.
  • Generate deceptive, misleading, or manipulative content.
  • Create false urgency, fear, or pressure.
  • Simulate human identity or credentials.
  • Collect, scrape, or infer sensitive personal data without consent.

4. Disclosure Requirements

Vendors using AI in customer-facing interactions must clearly disclose AI use, ensure a human escalation option exists, and avoid implying AI is a licensed professional.

5. Data & Privacy Standards

Vendors must comply with applicable privacy laws, use data only for intended purposes, protect user information, and avoid training AI on Silver Streak user data without authorization.

6. Brand & Trust Alignment

Vendor AI usage must align with Silver Streak brand values, respect the dignity of older adults, avoid exploitative design patterns, and support informed, calm decision-making.

7. Monitoring & Enforcement

Silver Streak reserves the right to review vendor AI practices, require changes or disclosures, suspend or remove vendors for violations, and update standards as regulations evolve.

8. Acknowledgment

Participation in the Silver Streak platform constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these AI rules.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. The governing law, mandatory arbitration, jurisdiction, and class-action waiver provisions set out in our Terms and Conditions apply to this policy and control in the event of any conflict.
